Ben is seven years old and he was surrendered to the kill shelter with his brother Jerry. They cannot be adopted together because together they become very protective and not social. When they are separated they are both wonderfully affectionate and social dogs. Then is about 11 pounds, and really loves the ladies! He is more frightened of men but not aggressive. He would do best in a home without small children as he's a tad more skittish then his brother. They both get along with other dogs that are of small breed. The shelter has given us some extra time to find him a home and we really hope someone will step up to save their lives. Ocean County Brick, NJ MAP IT!

Jerry came in with this brother Ben. He is estimated to be 6-7 years old. He is sweet and playful and LOVES children. He gets along with small dogs but bigger dogs scare him. Jerry is house broken and affections. He's only 11 lbs and loves to be carried. These 'fur babies' lost their home to bankruptcy. Their mom lost her job and at 68 yrs old, no one would hire her. She lost her home as did the dogs. They are moving them to the euth room next week. They shouldn't die.. please help. Rocky is a cur/shep mix who is playful and loves water. He is non reactive to dogs but would be best as the only pet. He is 70lbs so we recommend no young children. He is NOT aggressive just high energy and playful. He loves being outside. He knows how to give paw and basic commands. He is FULLY vetted and ready to go home! He's handsome and doesn't shed much either. This poor baby was dumped at a high kill shelter when his brother left for college! The parents got divorced and neither wanted to care for him. Baylie is just under one year old.. she is the volunteer favorite this week! Everyone loves her gentle nature and loving personality. She loves children, other dogs and even likes cats. She is house trained, doesn't shed and walks well on a leash. She is a good-natured dog with NO aggression at all. She will make a wonderful companion to a family. Her story will break your heart. She was rescued by neighbors who saw the teens next door tying fireworks to her body and dousing her with gasoline. This would not have ended well for Baylie but since the police showed up, she was saved and now the teens and parents are facing multiple charges. ... Luna is an 8 month old husky. She was brought from a breeder or $1500. Her family has no time for her. Luna is great with children and other dogs. Her best buddy is her five year old human brother. He will miss her :-( she is house trained and very friendly. She has no aggression. She is stunning and just a really good dog. She loves being with people. Please help. Jaxson is 5 months old and was surrendered to the shelter with his mom. They've already killed her for space! He's a neutered already and has been vaccinated. He gets along with his two kennel mates and loves the company of people as well. He's got a great little personality and he's a lot of fun. He is affectionate and friendly and shows no aggression. He is house trained and he works very well on a leash. Although he's a shepherd mix he does not shed like a full bred would. He's got shorthair. Rico is five months old and weighs just about 9 lbs. He won't get much larger. He's a sweet boy and very social. he loves to play and be held. He was dumped in a kill shelter due to the landlord not allowing pets. He will be gassed with the other puppies next Monday. He is begging for his young life. 20 lbs. This little girl is truly a miracle! She escaped death twice now in her young life of only five months old. She was so afraid of people but now she is affectionate and playful and loving! She is excellent with children, other dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits and pigs! She is a well mannered baby who loves attention and her stuffed toys. Please don't let her die in a shelter. She will make a family very happy- she's vetted and healthy. She is a volunteer favorite. She is just the right size too- only 20lbs and won't get much bigger. Pippi is estimated to be 3 years old. She is timid and shy at first then she will warm up and follow you all over. Noises scare her but she shows no aggression. She doesn't know how to walk on a leash but we are working on her. The previous owner had 8 dogs all kept outside in a pen with little human interaction. It's surprising how well they're adjusting to us. She gets along with dogs and loves children. Cats don't phase her. She's been in and out of foster care to spare her life and she's nearly house trained. She is spayed and vaccinated as well as chipped.
